Gangabal lake trek

Gangabal lake trek

Gangabal Lake Trek is a dream come true for nature lovers and photographers. The trek begins in Naranag village. It winds through pine forests and meadows before arriving at the twin alpine lakes Gangabal and Nundkol at the foothills of Mount Haramukh (5300M). The Gangabal Lake trek is without a doubt one of the most beautiful treks in the Kashmir region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Gangabal Lake Trek Expedition is the most basic trek in Kashmir, and it is open most of the year. Gangabal Lake is located in the foothills of Mount Harmukh and provides a picturesque view of the majestic mountain. Naranag, on the other hand, is in the Ganderbal district and is known for its completely scenic meadows and historical Temples. Gangabal Lake is a gradual incline that is best done in the middle of summer. The trekking path is as lovely as the destinations, passing through crystal clear brooks, lush inexperienced meadows, and delightful gorges and ridges. At some point along the path, enjoy the pleasant weather and the pristine nature; this is nothing short of the ideal.

Gangabal Lake Trek Via Sonamarg

As always, you would travel with a local guide. To get to the trailhead, drive 2 miles down the valley from Srinagar toward Sonamarg to the bridge below Shitkari village, where the road crosses the Sind River. Crossing the Nichinai pass is a great trek west of Sonamarg. Begin walking across the river from this small village to the lakes of Krishansar and Vishansar, and beyond to Gangabal Lake near Haramukh, the highest peak in the Kashmir valley’s vicinity.
